Reed are exclusively appointed to recruit for a Marketing Executive for our well-established industrial products business who are based on the outskirts of Lancaster.
This fantastic opportunity is ideal for recent graduates who would like to launch their marketing careers with a reputable international company. This work will be important for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.
Marketing Executive responsibilities include assisting the marketing department in the delivery of marketing strategies and support on all marketing activities including:
- Support on multiple projects and campaigns adhering to key deadlines
- Assist in the organising of promotional events, exhibitions, digital and traditional activity and attend them to facilitate their success
- Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
- Create and maintain a new customer database, datasheets and maintain a photo library
- Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
- Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts (LinkedIn, YouTube blogs etc.)
- Write marketing literature to augment the company’s presence in the market
- Prepare and deliver this literature, brochures, press releases, blogs newsletters, mailshots, email campaigns and present promotional presentations
- Create sales and marketing tools and materials; flyers, datasheets, pop -up banners, display, stands etc.
- Communicate directly with clients, providing excellent customer service and building trusting relationships
- Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.) and conduct market research (ratings reports /questionnaires etc)
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in developing a career within a fast moving marketing environment:
- A graduate with a passion for marketing or at least 6 months experience within a marketing environment or proven experience as a marketing assistant/ executive
- Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines, with excellent attention to detail
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach – internal and external customers
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and database
- Excellent communication and people skills when talking to new people and working closely with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis.
- Creative, confident and driven, not afraid to use their initiative to get the job done.
- Understands the gap between creativity and analysis, with a good appreciation for branding.
- Strong IT skills with knowledge of MS Office, marketing software and online applications (CRM tools, Google analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
Must haves:
- InDesign and Photoshop knowledge and experience
- Graphic design creativity and some copy writing skills for printed and digital material
- Diploma; Marketing qualifications a must – diploma and / or degree
