Are you ready to be the backbone of our mechanical maintenance team? As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of our wastewater assets. Your role will involve performing maintenance, diagnosing faults, and providing technical support to keep our systems running smoothly.

Job Title: Field Service EngineerLocation: LancasterContract: Temporary worker via Reed for 6 monthsHours: 37 per weekPay: £23.68 per hour Umbrella or £19.08 PAYE (Paid weekly, inside IR35)
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Mechanical Maintenance: Implement efficient maintenance and installation services.
- Fault Diagnosis: Analyse and rectify faults in mechanical and systems-based equipment.
- Planned Maintenance: Perform proactive maintenance activities.
- Compliance: Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and internal company policies.
- Budget Management: Maintain financial control of predefined budgets.
- Reporting: Provide accurate asset performance and repair data.
- Problem-Solving: Recommend solutions to recurring maintenance issues.
To be considered for this role, you need:
- Qualifications: Time-served apprentice or equivalent with HNC/ONC in a mechanical technical area.
- Driving License: A valid driving license.
- Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience: Relevant industry experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Simocode, Profibus, and similar systems.
