PPA Teacher - LANCASTER - 3 DAYS PER WEEK - KS2

A primary school in Lancaster is seeking a KS2 PPA Teacher to join their team in early October 2024. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality education and nurturing the growth and development. This is a part time role, working 3 days per week. The days are TBC, with the school having flexibility on what days. This will be teaching specific subjects to KS2, from Year 3 to Year 5.

The school is asking for a KS2 specialist with excellent behaviour management.

This position is to start in early October 2024 for initially a term, with the view of this continuing throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of KS2 children.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate children's learning across all areas of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Assess children's progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of their achievements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support children's holistic development.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in KS2.
  • Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
