We are looking for a dedicated **General Teaching Assistant (TA) for Year 5/6** with strong skills in Maths and English to join our school in Lancaster. ### Key Responsibilities:- **Academic Support:** Assist the Year 5/6 teacher in delivering lessons, with a focus on Maths and English, helping students to develop confidence and competence in these subjects.- **Targeted Support:** Work with individual students and small groups, providing tailored support in Maths and English to meet varying ability levels.- **Preparation of Resources:** Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.- **Promote Engagement:** Encourage positive behavior and active participation, fostering a supportive and motivating classroom environment.- **Progress Monitoring:** Track student progress in Maths and English, offering additional support where needed and providing feedback to the teacher.
### Qualifications and Skills:- **Required:** Strong proficiency in Maths and English, with relevant experience or qualifications in a primary school setting.- **Skills:** Excellent communication, patience, and the ability to connect with upper primary students.- **Desirable:** Previous experience working with Year 5/6 or similar age groups.
