We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with our Year 1 and Year 2 classes. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum. If you are proactive, flexible, adaptable, and hardworking, we would love to hear from you.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist with the planning and preparation of activities within the classroom
- Work closely with the teaching staff to implement educational activities and monitor student progress.
- Engage with children to facilitate learning and development in a whole class environment as well as small groups.
- Utilise our phonics scheme to support literacy development
- Have a good working knowledge of guided reading and its impact
- Adapt to the varying needs of the children and the classroom environment.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating educational setting for the children.
- Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum is essential.
- Proactive and able to take initiative within the classroom setting.
- Knowledge of various phonics schemes is desirable but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the children and the school.
- Hardworking and committed to the role of a Teaching Assistant.
