Teaching Assistant - Lancaster:
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to support KS1 pupils at a lovely school near to Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent psychology graduate who is looking to pursue a career in education.
The Role:
- Building rapport with pupils, parents and staff
- Preparing learning resources and activities
- Providing specific intervention and support for small groups on curriculum areas
- Carrying out assessments and recording results
- Positively managing behaviour
Position Details:
- Location: Lancaster
- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Hours: 8am-3pm, Mon-Fri
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £85 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: After Feb half-term
- End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience
- Psychology degree desired
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
