Your New Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their growing team. This role is crucial in managing project costings, maximizing value for money, and ensuring financial control across various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive project success.



Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Conducting feasibility studies to assess project viability.
  • Managing project budgets and implementing cost control measures.
  • Preparing and reviewing tender documentation and procurement strategies.
  • Negotiating contracts and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with financial forecasts.
  • Providing financial reports and cost forecasts to senior management.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and contractual obligations.


What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement strategies.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional membership with RICS or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
