Your new role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ensuring their successful financial management from inception to completion. You will play a key role in cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and risk management while working closely with project teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.

  • Managing and monitoring project costs, ensuring financial efficiency.

  • Conducting risk analysis and value engineering assessments.

  • Overseeing contract administration and negotiating terms with clients and subcontractors.

  • Evaluating and approving variations, claims, and final accounts.

  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Providing regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.

  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

What you will need to succeed:

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management.

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office and cost management tools.

  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.
