Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a business who are based on the out skirts of Lancaster. This leading firm have been operating for over 17 years and their reputation is key to their success. This business have continued to grow and are now recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a full-time and permanent basis.
Your new role as the Accounts Assistant:
Matching of supplier invoices to purchase orders
Input/ recording of supplier invoices
Assisting with the resolution of queries on invoices/purchase orders/ supplier queries
Raise invoices/ credit notes to customers
Assist in generating debt reports and support collection of overdue debt
Assist in supplier reconciliations
Credit card statement reconciliations
Filing/archiving of all relevant documentation
Assist with other general accounts and office administration and support other members of the Accounts Team where necessary
Provide a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all performed tasks
Qualifications, Experience & Skills required to apply:
Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role, in a high volume transactional environment
Knowledge and experience of both sales and purchase ledger
Ability to work independently and within agreed timeframes for each task
Collaborative style, willing to support colleagues throughout the business
Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and customers
Strong IT skills, including Excel
Experience of Sage 50 and Sage 200 (desirable)
Attention to detail with a strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability
Proficient and accurate in data entry
AAT qualification or similar (desirable)
