Ribble Education is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Female PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Lancaster. This position is available from January 2025 until the end of the summer term 2025, providing an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' physical education and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and promotes a healthy lifestyle.
  • Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to enhance students' physical skills, fitness levels, and sportsmanship.
  • Organize extracurricular activities, such as sports clubs and competitions, to enrich students' experience and foster their passion for physical activity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the PE curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Physical Education.
  • Experience teaching PE at the secondary level, preferably in a diverse and inclusive school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of national curriculum standards for PE and proficiency in designing and delivering engaging lessons that meet these standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Enthusiasm for promoting physical activity, health, and well-being among young people.
