We are currently seeking a dynamic History Teacher to join a school in Lancaster on a long-term basis, starting immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative History lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 teaching experience would be an advantage.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate reliability and commitment to student development.
  • Serve as a good role model for students, embodying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Maintain good interpersonal skills, ensuring punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
