We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school in Lancaster. This role involves delivering interventions to Year 3, Year 4, and Year 5 students, working with small groups to enhance their learning experience according to the KS2 curriculum.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver targeted learning interventions to small groups of students in Years 3, 4, and 5.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to follow and implement lesson plans and activities.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students.
  • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Utilise a variety of educational techniques to cater to different learning needs and styles within the group.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the overall learning experience of the students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum.
  • Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a classroom setting.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other teaching staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
