Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Lancaster, starting ASAP with a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The role involves supporting children in small groups and on a 1-1 basis, with full-time hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Candidates should have relevant experience in a school setting, particularly with children who have special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
The position offers a minimum pay rate of £85 per day, depending on experience, and requires up-to-date safeguarding training, although training can be provided.
Applicants must hold the right to work in the UK and have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.

SEN TA - Lancaster

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join one of our schools in the Lancaster area. You will be supporting children in small groups and on a 1-1 basis. This role is to start ASAP and will be temp-perm for the right candidate. The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting SEN within a school setting.

EXPERIENCE:

Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
