Job Title: Plumber (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
Location: Lancaster

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a respected leader in the housing services sector, for a skilled Plumber to manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks. If you have a background in plumbing maintenance and a commitment to safety and compliance, this opportunity could be the right fit for you!

Role Overview:
As a Plumber, you will be responsible for ensuring all planned maintenance activities, including water systems and mains supply, are completed according to specifications and work packages. This role includes fault-finding, inspections, repairs, and ensuring compliance with statutory maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine plumbing maintenance.
  • Identify and repair life-expired equipment and faults.
  • Carry out inspections, water sampling, and risk assessments.
  • Perform repairs on mains water supply and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards and follow agreed method statements.
  • Minimize wastage and continuously improve processes.
  • Ensure statutory maintenance work is completed on time and compliant with regulations.


This role may require:

Working at heights and in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Relevant plumbing trade qualification.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with the Maximo maintenance system or similar packages.
  • Experience in operating light plant equipment.
  • Gas Safe registration (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Legionella Control (L8).
