We are recruiting for an Engineer with a science related degree and a strong interest in science to join a manufacturing company where you’ll need previous laboratory experience or experience assembling laboratory equipment. In this role, you will work with silicon and diamond processing, ensuring a high quality, clean room environment. The ideal candidate will have previous laboratory experience and a relevant qualification in Science.

As a Laboratory Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Silicon and Diamond detector processing by using wet bench, furnaces and mask aligners
  • Diamond and silicon quality inspection
  • Understanding and following design drawings and processing documents
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and healthy working environment
  • Ensuring all parts, labour and processes progress on schedule to meet customer expectations

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Previous laboratory experience
  • A degree in Science or equivalent (desired not essential)

This is a full time permanent position working 37.5 hours a week on a 4 day working week between Monday & Friday on an annual salary of £25,000.
