Van Driver/Loader

Delta Personnel is actively seeking a Van Driver/Loader Unloader for a position in Lancing.

Our client, a leading player in the industrial/manufacturing sector, is currently experiencing a significant increase in workload. They are keen to expand their team, which presently comprises three operatives, to adequately manage this surge. The team is organised into a blend of two drivers and two non-drivers, facilitating smooth operations and effective teamwork.

In this role, you will be crucial in transporting our client’s products to various locations. The position offers flexible work arrangements, including setting up morning pick-ups, driving schedules, and managing loading tasks for the day or week.

A notable benefit of this job is the "job & knock" days, where you are paid for a full day's hours, even if the workday is shortened.

Responsibilities:

• Van Driving: Safely and efficiently operate our client’s vehicles to transport goods between locations.
• Loading & Unloading: Expertly load and unload goods, ensuring their safety and integrity.
• Team Collaboration: Engage in team discussions to optimise the team configuration for maximum productivity and effectiveness.
• Deliveries: Transport client goods to various construction sites in and around the Lancing area.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

• Standard hours: 06:00 - 15:00 | Monday - Friday
• Early finish Friday: 06:00 - 14:30
• 42 hours guaranteed per week.
• Overtime available at enhanced rates.

Requirements:

• Valid driving licence
• CSCS card
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
