Administration/Shipping Assistant - Langley - 25K

Our client, a reputable logistics company in Langley, is currently seeking a Junior Admin/Shipping Assistant to join their team. As a Junior Admin/Shipping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the coordination and operations teams with various administration tasks. Your main responsibilities will include answering incoming calls, maintaining accurate records on our Freight Management System, filing and archiving documents, and assisting with shipping logistics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the coordination and operations teams with a range of administration tasks.
Answer all incoming calls promptly and courteously, directing them to the relevant person or taking messages.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on our Freight Management System.
Handle daily filing and periodic archiving.
Learn and assist in all aspects of shipping fine art and antiques, including arranging collections and deliveries both domestically and internationally.
Gain knowledge and experience in shipping via air freight, sea freight, and road freight.
Prepare and process all import and export documentation and book the chosen method of transportation.
Efficiently manage paperwork, including bills of lading, labelling, timesheets, and detailed condition reports.
Communicate with clients, guide them through the art shipping process, and provide certificates of shipment.
Liaise with the warehouse regarding incoming and outgoing activities.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
Manage multiple jobs simultaneously and book internal and external services, such as transport and freight.
