Production Operative

Reed Engineering are currently supporting a leading manufacturer of professional race hoses and fittings for motorsport and racing who are looking for a Production Operative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with good practical skills, mechanical aptitude and a passion for the precision and excellence required in the world of manufacturing for competitive racing.

Day to day of the role:

  • Operate various machinery and equipment for the production of braided hose, tube bends, and assembly of fittings.
  • Kit and assemble parts according to specifications.
  • Manage materials and ensure they are stored correctly.
  • Carry out computer work associated with the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities.
  • Keep the work area clean and organised.
  • Assist and work in other areas of production as needed.
  • Meet daily production targets and ensure products are produced to specification with zero defects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good practical and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to concentrate and maintain attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Proficiency in working with parts lists and engineering drawings.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to undergo training to operate special purpose manual and CNC equipment.
