Job Summary
Alecto Recruitment are looking for an HGV Mechanic to join a rescue and recovery operator company in a workshop-based role.
You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills with specialist recovery & rescue training, with scope to obtain your L/HGV driving Licence if you wish.
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician, who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to join a team of experienced Commercial Technicians.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Carrying out inspections, service routines and repairs
- Diagnose and find faults in wide variety of vehicles
- Complete vehicle safety inspections to the highest standard
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and presentation for test
- Interpret diagnostic information and use electrical wiring diagrams to determine system serviceability
- Test the function of repaired and fitted components
- Order and source vehicle parts, construct emails, word-process documents and carry out web-based searches
Qualifications and Skills
- Level 2 Mechanics (Minimum)
- HGV MECHANICAL: min 2 year (Preferred)
- The ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
- Pro-active problem-solving skills
- Willing to learn and be able to pick up the trade
