The Property Inspector will take responsibility for the inspection, repairs and minor planned works of all mechanical elements of a non-housing property portfolio. They will provide excellent customer service to customers whilst also ensuring that statutory requirements that relate to construction, inspection, and maintenance are adhered to. This role will involve visiting various sites in either a pool car or your own vehicle, paperwork can be completed remotely.Main Duties of the Property Inspector:

  • Carry out regular and response-led inspections of premises to determine work requirements, priorities, and costs and report any necessary repair works
  • Carry out written annual inspections of mechanical services for properties
  • Respond to emergency requests for mechanical repair work and arrange for remedial action to be taken
  • Issue detailed repair instructions to internal and external contractors and agree and verify submitted invoices
  • Liaise with premises managers, translate their requirements and discuss repair works alongside budgets

Role Requirements:

  • Have a construction or services related HNC or equivalent experience
  • 5 years' experience in the mechanical services industry, preferably with practical site experience
  • Full UK driving licence, as the successful candidate will be assessing buildings within a given geographical area (Falkirk)
  • Gas safe registration
  • Be aware of Health and Safety requirements, Construction Codes of Practice, CDM and Gas Safety regulations
