Assembly / Benchhands
Barker Ross are recruiting for Assembly Operatives / Bench hands to work for our client based in Falkirk.
This is ongoing, full-time work that will lead to a permanent position with our client. The role would suit candidates with proven experience in a manufacturing or construction industry. Working on assembly tables as part of the team of 4-6 operatives with a chargehand as lead, assembling wall panels or floor cassettes
- Pay: 14.50 per hour
- Hours: 38hrs paid
- A productivity bonus scheme will be introduced enabling employees to earn a further 20% of their salary
- Mon-Thu 7:30-16:30
- Fri- 7:30-14:00
- 1hour break: 15 min morning and 45 min lunch. Friday - 30mins only
Duties:
Unload components from trolleys delivered to work area
Lift/ move products individually or as a pair (6kg-20kg)
Layout out components in correct order referring to layout drawings as required.
Using battery power tools to fasten light steel components
Apply labelling, undertake dimensional and quality checks
Fasten cement particle board or metal deck sheets to assemble metal frame
Attach lifting slings.
Operation of assembly tables and overhead crane (training provided)
General housekeeping
Requirements:
Ability to work as part of a busy team.
Self-motivated, conscientious, and enthusiastic.
Good timekeeping and attendance.
Keen, flexible, adaptable with a positive attitude.
Physically fit
Previous experience in manufacturing or construction environment is beneficial.
