Senior Production Team Leader, Larkhall, £35,700

We are recruiting for a Senior Production Team Leader to work at our clients' site in Larkhall.

What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Production Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient production processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively manage and drive Health & Safety performance within the team
  • Leading the team to deliver the daily production plan and the department KPI's whilst driving team engagement - ensuring a recovery plan in place to protect customer delivery
  • Ensuring quality of product maintained to both internal and customer standards
  • Identifying training needs and implement ongoing development to ensure operators maintain and exceed required standards
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within production areas utilising activities such as Gemba Walks, 5S Audits, Process Audits, Waste Walks, Evaluation of Scrap and implementing corrective actions etc.
  • Ensuring prompt action taken on any quality issues highlighted within department
  • Organise the supply of materials and ensure completion of any related documentation
  • Effectively manage team performance; including Team Leaders and Operators, to ensure they are maximising their capability within their role.
  • Ensuring all direct reports comply with company policies and procedures including:
  • Procedure sheets and work instructions
  • Use of gauges and assembly equipment
  • Product quality
  • 5S

  • Ability to develop and engage a high performing team
  • Previous experience of managing / / leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated with a genuine drive for achieving production targets and operational excellence
  • Experience of championing continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages and an ability to use available data to inform decision making and action planning
  • A solid work history
