An exciting job opportunity has arisen at a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. The role is a Material Planner on a 24 month rolling contract. The role is paying £16.22 and hour (PAYE) and £23 an hour (Umbrella). You will be working 37.5 hours a week on day shifts. Monday to Thursday (Fridays off) working 07:00am til 16:45pm but a 17:15pm finish on Mondays.

The role

  • Participates in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards.
  • Develops and executes material planning for a product line to ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the allocated time frame.
  • Organises the flow of materials within the manufacturing unit and the transferring of materials to and from the inventory or warehouse.
  • Generates forecasts and manages replenishment planning for parts and materials to ensure specified service levels are met.

Requirements

  • Experience in Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience in SAP is desirable
  • Previous experience in a material planning/buyer role
  • Supply chain experience/ transferable skills
