Teacher of SEND/SEMH - Primary School

Are you an experienced and passionate SEND/SEMH teacher looking for a new opportunity? A fantastic primary school in Skelmersdale is seeking a dedicated Teacher of SEND/SEMH to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

This is a full-time position working with primary-aged students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Support students' academic, emotional, and social development.
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to education.
• Effectively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.

We are seeking a teacher who:

• Holds QTS or QTLS (essential).
• Has experience working with students with SEND and/or SEMH needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and a calm, positive approach to behaviour.
• Is passionate about making a difference and helping every child reach their full potential.
• Is a team player who can work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
