Role:Â Videographer for educational content

Reports to:Â Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning
This job specification is a detailed description of the role, including all key business development responsibilities and requirements as part of continuous personal development.
You will work closely with our teaching, sales and marketing team to ensure that our products are innovative and reach far beyond industry standards.
You will be responsible for video filming and editing video content created by the EDClass teachers and for producing high-quality content that fosters engagement.
Duties:
- Filming lessons that are both in the classroom and in locations outside of the classroom, using out top of the range technical equipment.
- Setting up the virtual classrooms ready for filming curriculum content.
- Supporting teachers whilst they create the video content both in the classroom and on-locations when acquiring footage for lessons.
- Ensure that the correct processes have been followed, all our SOPs are adhered to and our brand criteria is met for every piece of content that is created.
- Technical equipment management, including working alongside other team members to keep an accurate inventory.
- Ensure individual targets are met after time schedules have been agreed.
- Use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit newly filmed content.
- Quality checking content of proposed lessons and reporting any issues to your line manager.
- Monitoring incoming tasks to the Multimedia Team Zoho Boards to ensure tasks are being completed to the set deadline.
- Tag, name and store clips in the correct area of curriculum content.
- Quality checking previously made videos and working with the teaching team to ensure they match our new lesson criteria.
- Be responsible for filming with the company drone – training for the license will be provided.
- On some occasions, be willing to travel to schools and film interviews and drone footage to be used for marketing purposes for EDClass and the schools.
- Carry out any other duties commensurate to the needs of the business, or as requested by your Line Manager or Senior Leadership Team.
Skills & Knowledge required for this role:
Attention to detail to ensure the highest quality content is produced.
A strong understanding of what makes a high quality, engaging educational video.
An understanding of the importance of producing high quality educational content, recorded in a variety of locations across the UK.
Ability to work at a fast pace without compromising quality, therefore demonstrating effective time management and the ability to work under pressure, to set deadlines and time constraints.
Knowledge of camera equipment and audio recording devices to achieve high quality video footage.
Knowledge and at least 2 years’ experience in using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
Knowledge of room set up with lighting and sound.
Experience in adding motion graphics to video edits to increase engagement.
Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the business.
High level of self-motivation and resilience.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and organise using your own initiative.
Experience with teleprompter use and lighting set up for video content.
Staff must have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the company, and maintain high standards in their own attendance and punctuality.
Ability to creatively collaborate with other team members and build relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all time observing proper boundaries appropriate to staff’s positions.
Polite, professional manner.
The ability to quickly get to know the organisation and the content workstream.
Ability to learn how to use new software systems.
Experience working with short form video optimisation.
Ability to travel for filming when required as part of the business needs.
Be willing to attend training in order to upskill yourself and attain any certificates that are necessary to fulfil your role.
Have use of your own car.

Qualifications/knowledge/experience required for this role:
Must be eligible for an enhanced DBS check.
Holds a full UK driving license with less than 6 points.
Multimedia / Videography / Video Editing Degree – Desirable
A strong understanding of education and specifically of online alternative provision – Desirable
Knowledge of Panasonic AG-CX350, Cannon EOS R7, DJI RS3 Gimbal, DJI Mini 2 Drone and RODE wireless microphones – Desirable
Have 2 years’ filming and editing experience – Essential
English and Maths GCSE A*-C or equivalent – Essential
Safeguarding knowledge and understanding – Essential
Confident in using ICT for a range of purposes – Essential
Salary: £26,250 – Full Time – Permanent – 08.30 – 17.00 – Monday to FridayÂ
