Our client, one of the largest Housing Associations in the South West is looking for a Devon/Cornwall based Surveyor who would be available for a three-to-six-month contract. This hourly rate for this role is £35.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company, to achieve this rate a proven track record of providing expertise on a cyclical/planned maintenance programmes is required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing budgets, contract administration, cyclical maintenance programmes and liaising with neighborhood officers/tenant liaison officers to provide updates on the timescale of works.

The duties for the role can be found below:Undertaking pre and post inspections on void properties, and ensuring that the properties are in adherence with the organisation’s lettable standardsActing as the expertise point on works including: Planned Maintenance, Minor Works, Refurbishment Works, and Health and Safety (Fire)Producing detailed reports post survey, that include options for remedial works and costs to provide a business case Maintaining and updating knowledge of current building regulations, ensuring to inform colleagues of change that could affect the day to day running of the Planned Maintenance ProgrammeHaving a strong understanding of budgets, acting as the lead on contract discussions and ensuring all works are completed within pre-agreed budgets

Requirements:Construction or Surveying Qualification Social Housing contract management experience Experience of overseeing budgets circa £500kExperience monitoring KPIs to ensure contract health

Working hours:40 hours per week Monday - Friday, flexible working hours
