  • Role - Production Operative (Double Days)
  • Location: DS Smith Packaging, Hurdon Road, Launceston, PL15 9HN
  • Job Type: Full Time, Contractual, 3 months initially with the view for extension
  • Pay: £12.30 per hour for the first 12 weeks then rate enhancement availble as per AWR
  • OT 1 Monday to Saturday AM at X1.5 = £18.45per hour and OT 2 is for Saturday PM & Sunday at x2 = £24.60 per hour
  • Shifts: 37.5 hours in a week, Double Days Shift, Week 1 - Mon - Thurs 0600 - 1400 & Fri 0600 - 1100 and Week 2 - Mon - Thurs 1400 - 2200 & Fri 1100 - 1600 (including 45-minute paid breaks Mon-Thurs and 15 minutes on Fri).
  • Start: Asap (once clearing the interview and completing onboarding checks)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery and equipment in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Follow Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW) and UK Health and Safety legislation.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery.

Essential Requirements:

  • Driving Licence and Access of a Car
  • Experienced in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW).
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence preferred, Training can be provided if necessary.
