Trainee Quantity Surveyor(Civils)

Location:Launceston

Salary:Up to 30k

Our client, a family run civils and groundworks business based in Launceston, have an opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

You will need:

  • A quantity surveying qualification
  • Transport

Responsibilities:

  • Costing:Preparing weekly costs for materials, labor, plant, and subcontractors.They also prepare cost reports for smaller projects.
  • Contract administration:Administering and analyzing contracts, timesheets, tenders, pre-qualifying questionnaires, and price lists.
  • Communication:Communicating with clients and colleagues to exchange financial construction-related information.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance:Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance is followed.
  • Health and safety:Prioritizing safety for oneself and others in the work environment.
  • Project development:Working with the site team and factory teams to understand the modular build process.
  • Project budget management:Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Project specifications:Working closely with senior quantity surveyors to analyze project specifications and assess cost implications.
  • Subcontractor management:Monitoring sub-contractors and stages of construction.
  • Travel:Traveling to construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as requested by Senior Management.
