About us
Now under new ownership, Fasque Castle Estate is Aberdeenshire's fairytale wedding and events venue.
Set within the exquisite countryside of Fettercairn and overlooking the estate's Deer Park, this historic, exclusive-use castle boasts innumerable indoor and outdoor event locations, all perfectly designed to host celebrations and gatherings for up to 160 guests.
The striking grade A-listed venue, known for its octagonal towers and iconic double-spiral staircase, has an abundance of entertaining space, 19 bedrooms (and counting), plus a number of self-catering properties.
Our small yet dedicated team deliver spectacular events for corporate clients and wedding couples from across the UK and abroad, and were now looking for a talented and focused individual to take on the role of General Manager.
The role
After our purchase of the castle in September 2024, were now looking to grow the business.
The new owners, who are experienced in the sector, are looking to upgrade both the Castle and its subsidiary properties, taking them to the next level in offering exceptional guest experiences.
The successful candidate will have great sales and people management skills, along with a proven track record in hospitality and events businesses. Afforded significant authority, they will be responsible for the profitable performance and operation of the business, and will take a hands-on approach to growing the number of weddings, corporate and private events hosted.
An attractive salary is available, commensurate with ability and performance.
Reporting directly to the owner, key experience you will bring to the business includes:
- Demonstrable experience in an Operations or General Manager role, within a luxury hospitality or tourism setting
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and drive a team
- A passion for sales, and the ability to instil this within your team
- Financially astute
- Willingness to work in an operational capacity and to lead by example
- Passion for delivering excellence across the customer journey
- A mindset of continual improvement
