Long Term Futures is working with a large secondary school in Waltham Forest to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated Student Care Team. This role is an excellent opportunity to be at the heart of a proactive team that supports students in overcoming challenges and achieving their potential.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll provide tailored support to students, helping them navigate social, emotional, and behavioural challenges while promoting a positive school ethos. The school is known for its inclusive approach and commitment to both staff and student well-being.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work closely with the Student Care Team to develop and implement behaviour strategies tailored to individual students' needs
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to students, supporting them in overcoming barriers to learning
  • Assist with managing behaviour in and out of the classroom, fostering a respectful and positive school environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor student progress and implement effective interventions
  • Act as a role model, encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience
  • Support whole-school initiatives aimed at improving behaviour, attendance, and student well-being

  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and an understanding of SEMH needs
