The Recruitment Group are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
Hours: 6am – 14.30pm & 11.30am – 8pm, Monday to Friday.
For this role you must have a valid forklift license.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Move products to designated areas within the warehouse, following organisational protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance needs.
- Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and materials handling.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking shipments against packing lists.
- Maintain accurate records of materials handled using the warehouse management system.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices.
- Basic maths skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
