The Recruitment Group is working with a specialist in logistics, transport, and shipping. They offer a comprehensive range of UK and international logistics and supply chain solutions. They design logistics solutions to meet their client's individual specifications.

Purpose of the Logistics Administrator Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive Logistics Administrator to join our clients team on a maternity cover contract. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless customer service within the logistics department, handling inquiries, managing stock and transport requirements, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities for a Logistics Administrator:

  • Handle customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring prompt responses.
  • Manage logistics and goods-in email inboxes efficiently.
  • Process orders using WMS and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and order fulfilment.
  • Manage transport bookings, including parcel, TMS, and pallet networks.
  • Monitor customer deliveries, resolve issues, and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Generate weekly and monthly invoicing, handling any invoice queries.
  • Maintain stock accuracy and assist with annual stock checks.
  • Prepare KPI reports and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.


Key Requirements for a Logistics Administrator:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy logistics office and customer service role.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (basic formulas/functions).
  • Familiarity with warehouse and transport management systems (ideally Access Delta).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
