Day-to-day of the role:- Negotiate payment plans with customers, setting appropriate terms and conditions.
- Maintain accurate sales ledger records and conduct regular analyses of the credit-control system to reduce bad debts.
- Address payment issues promptly by reporting them to management.
- Follow up on overdue invoices and payments, implementing the company's collections procedures as necessary.
- Continuously seek ways to improve debt collection processes.
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Process payments and issue refunds as needed.
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Good software skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
