This position is based in Leamington Spa and offers hybrid working with flexible hours, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers, setting appropriate terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate sales ledger records and conduct regular analyses of the credit-control system to reduce bad debts.
  • Address payment issues promptly by reporting them to management.
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and payments, implementing the company's collections procedures as necessary.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve debt collection processes.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
  • Process payments and issue refunds as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
  • Good software skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
