Morgan McKinley is recruiting for a Head of Finance to join a fast-growing, highly acquisitive travel business based in Henley-in-Arden. This role provides the opportunity to lead a finance team of four and play a key role in modernising processes, driving growth, and ensuring the financial health of the organisation. You'll be instrumental in delivering value-added insights and helping to bring the business into the 21st century. This role requires four days a week on-site, fostering a collaborative and hands-on working environment.
As Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of key areas within the finance function, including management accounting, payroll, VAT reporting, and accounts payable/receivable. You'll lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and support commercial decision-making through insightful analysis. Acting as a strategic business partner, you'll work closely with senior leadership to provide financial clarity, support tenders, and lead the budgeting and forecasting cycles. This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the organisation's transformation journey.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA preferred) with advanced Excel skills and experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. A background in travel, logistics, or tourism is advantageous but not essential. To excel, you'll need strong communication skills, a proactive approach to process improvement, and the ability to present financial insights clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
