Contract CAE Engineer IR35: Inside

Hourly Rate - 43 per hour

Contract Term - Rolling

Location - Warwickshire (Sydenham Industrial Estate, Canalside, 12 Berrington Rd, Leamington Spa CV31 1NB)

Our client is a well established design engineering consultancy working within the Motorsport, Automotive, Rail, Aerospace and medical sectors. Companies partner with our client to assist in the optimisation of complex engineering designs. They are a company made up of many engineers all having a passion for solving challenging design problems. Amongst others, they provide engineering consultancy services to leading F1 teams, as well as some of the largest Automotive OEM's.

Due to securing a significant project they have a requirement for a CAE Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. This is an onsite contract working from their Warwickshire offices.

Person Specification

We're looking for experienced contractors who can hit the ground running and enjoy solving complex engineering problems. You should be a self starter with the confidence to run your own analysis projects with minimal supervision.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in the use of Abaqus with Ansa as a pre-processor
  * Ideally experience and knowledge of working within the Automotive industry
  * Knowledge of durability, stress analysis and/or fatigue
  * Knowledge of composites would be useful, but not essential
  * Knowledge of Ansa is a key requirement
  * Run and interrogate models and provide design direction to the OEM Design Team
  * Assemble reports in PowerPoint format with explanation of results and observations
  * Use hand calculation to size structures and provide quick guidance
  * Assemble pragmatic models with rapid turnaround for design development
