We are seeking a self-starting, confident Customer Service Specialist with a background in telesales and/or customer service for our client in Leamington. This role involves a variety of tasks including direct sales team and customer contact, upselling of goods, sharing product-related know-how, order inputting, and managing dispatch and export processes. If you have a technical mind and a desire for accuracy in your work, you could be the ideal candidate for this position.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the operations department, ensuring effective communication regarding purchase requirements and customer concerns.
  • Prepare and process all relevant paperwork for domestic and international shipments in line with company procedures and current legislation.
  • Administer the company’s export activities, including the preparation and processing of all aspects of export documentation.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Sales Team and customer enquiries relating to orders, product questions, and warranty issues.
  • Negotiate freight rates (Road / Air / Sea) and plan transport activities in a cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat and return business.
  • Suggestively sell products and services to clients, making them aware of all packages and retail options available.
  • Display extensive knowledge about products and services and use various methods of customer communication, including online communication, phone calls, and in-person interactions.
  • Communicate with operations about order statuses and ensure that orders are ready for customers on time.
  • Act as an advocate for customers when communicating product problems and needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a Customer Service Department.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook; basic logic formula capability is advantageous.
  • Experience using an ERP system is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic attitude and self-motivated.
  • Knowledge and experience in the preparation and processing of export documentation.
  • Organised and methodical with a real attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects.
  • Able to respond well to pressure and show drive and initiative for continual improvement.
  • Ability to work well in a team and develop strong working relationships.
