Day-to-day of the role:- Safely operate HGV Class 1/2 vehiclesÂ
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure and safe handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of travel and cargo according to company policy and legal requirements.
- Adhere to assigned routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by dispatch.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to report any issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Valid HGV Class 1/2 licence.
- Ability to pass a Police & Enhanced DBS CheckÂ
- No points on Driving licence
- Proven experience as an HGV driver.
- Strong understanding of road safety and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and handle physical workload.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude.
- Salary of £27-30K (negotiable and dependant on experience)
