This role is an integral part of the management and operation of stores facilities to support the production of low volume, high value transmission products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operation of a stores department, including moving stock both physically and electronically across the site
- Managing production and sales administration processes, including production orders, delivery documentation, and sales/invoicing
- Receiving deliveries, verifying the accuracy of documentation, booking in, and transferring or locating into local stores
- Generating, picking, and issuing kits of parts for production
- Managing and executing stock audit processes, including formal stock takes
- Identifying and implementing improvements to stores and inventory processes
- Occasional travel to other locations within the UK as needed
Job Requirements:
- High attention to detail
- Good IT skills and comfort in using computers
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of Bills of Materials
- Knowledge of lot/batch control and traceability
- Forklift operating license
- Proficiency with an 'enterprise' MRP system, ideally LN/Infor
- Good level of PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
