We are working with a growing professional services business, and they are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business ASAP.

Hybrid role - 3 - 4 days Office and 1-2 days Home (depending on workload). Flexible working hours, with a finish on Friday lunchtime.

This role is a busy position and responsible for providing HR support on a range of generalist areas and they need candidates who are confident, can hit the ground running and can build relationships.

Working as part of a team of 3 and reporting into the Head of HR, the role involves supporting a client group of c160 employees (mainly UK and some International). The focus of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the HR function and the development and monitoring of HR processes across the whole of the employment life cycle i.e., from recruitment, HR advice, guidance and coaching, HR best practice, supporting on HR projects, through to employee exit. Key duties will include;

  • Reporting into the Head of HR, working as part of a team of 3 people
  • Generalist HR role, supporting a client group of c160 employees - mainly UK, but some international support
  • Provide support to the Head of HR with the development and delivery of HR strategy and other HR initiatives
  • Be the point of contact for all operational areas of HR from the business
  • Work on various HR projects, including review and updating of HR policies, handbooks, contracts etc, employee engagement, succession planning and organisational design.
  • Identify development needs and support the sourcing/delivery of training to line managers and stakeholders
  • Provide support and training to managers on all employee matters, including up-skilling and coaching and advice and providing up to date advice on employment law
  • Provide in-house HR advice and support, ensuring that all company policies and processes are consistently applied across the business
  • Ensure that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.
  • Managing, supporting, and providing advice on ER cases, including investigations, grievance, performance, and disciplinary matters (low volume, but need experience leading and managing complex cases)
  • Support and assist on recruitment activities, including preparing job descriptions, job advertisements (internal and external), interviewing, offer letters, contracts of employment, contract amendments etc
  • Provide support on day-to-day HR administration, recruitment, Payroll and day to day HR matters, covering for the HR Assistant on busy periods, and support the business with the smooth running of the headoffice.

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level and be confident dealing with a wide range of generalist HR duties. Ideally candidates will have experience within a professional services industry, dealing with highly skilled, educated, and analytical client group.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role and the ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and able to work on their own initiative, with a passion for making this role their own. The role would be ideal for an experienced HR Advisor looking for a new opportunity with a well-established business, supporting the Head of HR with all operational, HR projects and strategic work.
