Inform Recruitment is working on behalf of a client that has an excellent reputation for providing professional and personal service to private individuals. They are recruiting an Assistant Underwriter on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You'll work from the company’s head office in Leamington Spa and join a small, collaborative team. You’ll play an integral part in ensuring clients receive a first-rate service.

This position will suit you if you’re an analytical thinker with meticulous attention to detail. You’ll need to be logical, process-driven and enjoy responsibility. Ideally, you will have experience working in financial services or a regulated industry. You will have excellent numeracy, IT, and communicative skills. A positive and enthusiastic personality, keenness to learn, and the desire to help and share ideas with your colleagues are essential. You won’t be fazed by liaising with people at a senior level.

Your responsibilities as Assistant Underwriter will be:

  • Conducting preliminary assessments of applications to assist in evaluating risks, quoting and pricing.
  • Providing oversight to workflow.
  • Checking and issuing quotes, policy documents and premiums to clients.
  • Handling complex queries.
  • Dealing with sensitive information in the strictest of confidence.
  • Dealing with adjustments, refunds, endorsements and additional premiums.
  • Attending training meetings.
  • Actioning and prioritising tasks.
  • Guiding other teams when necessary.
  • Responding to client queries within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of the CRM system.

You’ll work Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch. Free on-site parking is available.
