To thrive in our consultancy, you must be a passionate Mechanical Engineer motivated by solving complex transmission and driveline solutions at component and system level by design and/or analysis and simulation methods. You will have a demonstrable background of design and/or analysis and simulation of precision rotating components, structural components and complete systems, where you have shown high levels of initiative and attention to detail whilst managing yourself and others to tight deadlines.

What you will need You will have:

• Proven experience of automotive transmission design and/or analysis and simulation experience

Alternatively experince designing large components like tranmission casings or mechanical systems from clean sheet to proof of concept and have created the 2D drawings to relevant standards with GD&T numerous times.

• High standard of competency in design and/or CAE analysis of transmission and driveline systems

• A track record of innovation to benefit the outcome of powertrain projects

• Successfully managed small to medium sized projects both technically and commercially

• Proficiency in some of the key software packages within drivetrain engineering (SMT MASTA, Romax, Creo, UGNX, Catia, Amesim, Recurdyn, Matlab, Altair and Ansys packages)

• A strong understanding of the fundamental principles of mechanical engineering and experience in applying them to solve complex problems
