Astute's Renewables team is partnering with, a global leader in solar energy solutions, to recruit a PV Engineer for their UK operations.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the O&M Manager, you will:
- Perform routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems.
- Fault-find on both AC and DC systems, including AC distribution boards, combiner boxes, automation panels, and central inverters.
- Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations.
- Provide detailed site visit reports via the online reporting system.
- Occasionally travel overnight or work weekends on a rota basis (with additional pay).
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance as per the annual plan and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical testing suitable for audit.
- Comply with all fire, health, and safety requirements and attend relevant training.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Installations.
- C&G 2382-18 and C&G 2391-52 or equivalent (Test & Inspect).
- HV AP qualification.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures, AC/DC electrical systems, and high-voltage systems (33kV).
- Previous utility scale solar experience or commercial
- SCADA systems are desirable (training provided if required).

- Willing to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary.
Salary and benefits of the PV Engineer role
- Salary: 35,000-43,000 (DOE)
- Weekend rota pay: additional 6,000 per annum.
