As a Fitter / Assembler, you will:
- Assemble sub-assemblies and complete machine assemblies using your skills and hand-held tools.
- Operate equipment safely and report any hazards to the Fitting Shop Team Leader.
- Ensure all sub-assemblies and machines meet our clients high-quality standards.
- Inspect your own work and follow provided procedures to assist in the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and assist others when needed.
Fitter/Assembler Key Skills and Requirements:
- Experience: Proven assembly experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Ideally, familiar with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Mechanical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings.
- Physical Ability: Capable of working in various positions, including kneeling, lying down, and overhead. Comfortable climbing ladders or platforms.
- Tool Operation: Proficient with hand-held tools, including air-operated wrenches. Training in overhead crane use is a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing working hours.
Fitter/Assembler Working Hours:
Day Shift:
- Monday – Thursday: 08.00 - 17.00
- Friday: 08.00 - 12.00
Rotating Weekly Shifts:
- Early Shift: Monday – Thursday: 06.00 - 14.30, Friday: 06.00 - 12.00
- Late Shift: Monday – Thursday: 14.30 - 23.00, Friday: 12.00 - 18.00
