My client, a British manufacturer of iconic vehicles, requires an experienced Diagnostic Technician as it continues to scale up an iconic British heritage brand with a focus on electric vehicle technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex electrical, electronic, and software systems in electric vehicles.
  • Develop, validate, and implement diagnostic procedures for fault isolation and resolution.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, CAN analysis, and vehicle-specific software, to identify root causes.
  • Provide expert-level support to dealerships and customers for escalated diagnostic issues.
  • Deliver remote and on-site technical assistance, ensuring minimal downtime and a superior customer experience.
  • Analyse diagnostic data to identify trends and recurring issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (or transferable skills within a similar role) with technical expertise to work at pace.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, particularly electric vehicles.
  • Expertise in electrical systems, battery management, high-voltage components, and vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, etc.).
  • Experience with diagnostic software and tools such as OBD scanners, oscilloscopes, and custom diagnostic interfaces.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
