Our client, a prominent organisation in the infrastructure sector, is currently seeking a Clerk of Works with a strong background in highways to join their team in the Warwickshire area.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and inspecting construction works on highways to ensure compliance with client standards and specifications
  • Monitoring and recording site progress, quality of work, and adherence to project timelines
  • Conducting regular site inspections, especially during night shifts to accommodate project requirements
  • Preparing detailed reports on works conducted, including any deviations from plans or specifications
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to on-site
  • Coordinating and communicating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Providing expertise and guidance on construction best practices and quality standards
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of site activity and contractor performance


Job Requirements:

  • Experience as a Clerk of Works, specifically within the highways sector
  • Proficiency in overseeing and inspecting construction activities during night shifts
  • Strong understanding of construction quality standards and health and safety regulations
  • Excellent observation and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to project requirements and schedules
  • Relevant qualifications in construction or a related field are desirable
