Your new companyThe Primary School is based in Leamington Spa and is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all students with two specialised SEN units: one for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and one for Key Stage 2 (KS2). They cater to children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The hours of this roles are 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. This is a long-term role starting 8th January, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Your new roleThe school are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role will include-

  • Assist in the delivery of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in the EYFS and KS2 units.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant qualifications or experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in SEN settings.
  • Understanding of the needs of children with autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of Lillington Primary School.
