As a Fitter / Assembler, you will:

  • Assemble sub-assemblies and complete machine assemblies using your skills and hand-held tools.
  • Operate equipment safely and report any hazards to the Fitting Shop Team Leader.
  • Ensure all sub-assemblies and machines meet our clients high-quality standards.
  • Inspect your own work and follow provided procedures to assist in the assembly process.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and assist others when needed.

Fitter/Assembler Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven assembly experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Ideally, familiar with hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Mechanical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of working in various positions, including kneeling, lying down, and overhead. Comfortable climbing ladders or platforms.
  • Tool Operation: Proficient with hand-held tools, including air-operated wrenches. Training in overhead crane use is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing working hours.
