Radley Green is partnering with a law firm that is looking to double their revenue in the next 5 years and as such are a looking for a Financial Controller to join their growing finance team.
This is a newly created role and will report into the CFO / COO and will own all things finance for this growing firm.
The role will pay £90k-£105k + great benefits + profit share and great bonus and prides itself on offering a great work life balance (2 days a week in the office).
This position will manage a team of 11, will take ownership of all reporting, accounting, budgeting and forecasting and the development of all financial systems (3E).

Responsibilities include:
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the finance team, promoting collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Drive team structure and development to meet evolving business needs.
Financial Management
- Oversee all general ledger, accounting, billing, and collections functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate management reporting, reconciliations, and cashflow forecasting.
- Manage budgeting, banking relationships, and approvals for payments and expenses.
Audit & Tax Oversight
- Coordinate annual accounts and act as lead contact for external audits.
- Support preparation and submission of tax, VAT, PSA, and partner tax returns in collaboration with advisors.
Risk & Compliance
- Act as COFA, embedding a strong compliance and risk management culture.
- Oversee financial inputs for regulatory audits.
Partnership Financials
- Manage partner-related finances including capital, profit distributions, and tax.
- Support reporting for performance and remuneration.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Manage financial systems and vendor relationships (e.g., Elite 3E).
- Drive efficiency through process improvement and alignment with business strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven leadership experience in finance.
- Familiar with law firm finance and sector regulations.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Strong systems knowledge and a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- High levels of discretion and professionalism.
