Tax Accountant - In-House - Surrey

Up to £75,000 (DOE) + Bonus

My client is seeking a skilled Tax Accountant for a hybrid role based in Surrey with a leading financial services company. This organization operates in over 70 countries and values each team member's contributions from day one. Role OverviewIn this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting a high-performing central tax function. Your primary focus will be on managing all aspects of tax compliance, including corporate, indirect, and employment taxes. You will also ensure timely and accurate tax reporting, provide assistance with tax advisory services, and contribute to specific projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and liaise with HMRC on corporate, indirect, and employment tax returns and payments
  • Maintain compliance records to ensure timely filing and payments by statutory deadlines
  • Support tax reporting for the parent group and maintain accurate tax accounts
  • Provide assistance on tax advisory and specific tax-related projects
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and communicate relevant matters to internal stakeholders
  • Build relationships with internal teams, advisors, and tax authorities

Skills & Qualifications

  • Fully qualified ATT/ACA/CTA (preferred)
  • A-level education (preferred)
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and tax specialist software (OneSource/Alphatax)
  • Experience with accounting systems like SAP
  • Strong ability to interpret and explain complex tax issues clearly
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
