Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments for students with SpLD.
  • Design and deliver tailored tutoring sessions to support students' academic progress.
  • Provide specialist support and implement strategies to help students achieve their potential.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, adapting teaching methods as required.
  • Prepare and provide detailed reports following assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including teachers and support staff, to create and implement individualised learning plans.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • A recognised SpLD Tutor qualification (e.g., Level 5 or higher).
  • A valid SpLD assessment qualification (e.g., AMBDA, APC).
  • Proven experience in providing one-to-one support for students with specific learning difficulties.
  • Strong understanding of SpLD assessment tools and techniques.
  • The ability to deliver tailored support and differentiate learning materials effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to teaching.
